Dogs have a way of bringing us in touch with our authentic selves. With them we can share all the ups and downs of life’s journey. They ground us in reality and help us to appreciate the present and the simple pleasures; eating, sleeping, running, playing, exploring and touching. They give us love in spite of our many flaws and accept us for who we are. When we enter into deep relationship with them, they guide and expand us and nourish our souls.
Yet sometimes there are barriers that stand in the way of that relationship being all it could be. We may not know how to curtail undesirable behavior like jumping on people, barking, pulling on a leash, bolting out the door, over reacting to other dogs, playing rough with other dogs or destroying property.
Or we may simply long for our dog to listen to us and happily cooperate when we ask for “sit,” “down” and “stay.” We may want to be able to enjoy a leisurely walk with our dog at our side or simply have them come when we call.
I can teach you how to work with your dog to solve common behavior problems in a way that is gentle, effective, fast and fun for both of you.
